Founded in 2014 by MIT graduates Alex Bouaziz and Shuo Wang, Deel was created to help companies overcome the challenges of hiring international talent. The founders noticed that qualified candidates were often unable to secure jobs due to visa issues and local labor laws.

Initially a Y-Combinator company, Deel started as a platform for hiring and paying contractors worldwide. It has since expanded its services to simplify various aspects of managing a global team, including onboarding and process automation. Deel aims to eliminate hiring borders, enabling businesses to access talent anywhere in the world.
